Geofit: Deployment of novel GEOthermal systems, technologies and tools for energy efficient building retroFITting., is a project co-funded by the European Union, related to the “LCE-17-2017 (IA): Easier to install and more efficient geothermal systems for retrofitting buildings” call, starting on May 2018 with a duration of 48 Months and a budget of 9.86 M€. The consortium is composed of 24 partners from 9 different countries and is coordinated by the company R2M solution.

The main aim of the project is to develop innovative retrofitting solutions for inspection, design and installation of heating and cooling technologies exploiting geothermal source.

The developed technology will be validated in five real demo sites located in Italy, France, Ireland and Spain.

CNR ITAE role:

Support in the development and experimental validation of the hybrid gas-driven heat pump technology for heating and cooling in domestic, commercial and historical building. Support to the Perugia demo site for the installation and validation of the technology

CNR ITAE project coordinator:

Dr. Andrea Frazzica
