SunHorizon: Sun coupled innovative Heat pumps, is a project co-funded by the European Union, related to the “LC-SC3-RES-5-2018 – Increased performance of technologies for local heating and cooling solutions” call, starting on October 2018 with a duration of 48 Months and a budget of 8.99 M€. The consortium is composed of 21 partners from 11 different countries and is coordinated by the company RINA Consulting.
The main aim of the project is to unlock the potential for a mass-customized, user-friendly and cost-effective solution based on an optimized design and combination of existing innovative Heat Pumps and solar technologies.
The developed technologies will be validated in eight real demo sites located in Latvia, Belgium, Spain and Germany.
CNR ITAE role:
WP3 leader on the development of innovative components for heating and cooling. Support in the system modelling and identification of KPIs for the technology validation.
