Degree in Industrial Chemistry, University of Messina, 2008

PhD in “Chemical Technology and Innovative Processes”, University of Messina, 2013

Scientific activity:

Synthesis and characterisation of new structured catalytic materials (monoliths and foams) for hydrogen production through reforming processes (dry reforming, steam reforming, partial oxidation, oxy-steam reforming, autothermal reforming) of fossil fuels (natural gas, GPL, diesel) and renewable fuels (biogas, bio-ethanol).

Synthesis and characterisation of semiconductors for hydrogen production through photocatalytic water splitting process.

Development of porous materials for CO2 and H2S separation and biogas purification.

Usage of software for process simulation (AspenTech, PRO/II).

Collaboration in the design and realisation of hydrogen generators and/or syngas integrated with fuel cells systems for mobile and station application.

Author and co-author of 20 publications, 6 conference proceedings, various technical reports.

She is the winner of four science prizes: i) young researcher prize (WHEC 2014), ii) best presentation prize (AIChE Annual Meeting, 2014), iii) best presentation prize (AIChE Annual Meeting, 2014), iv) best poster presentation prize (IMPRES 2016).

Participation in more than 40 national and international conferences.
