foto antoAntonio Vita,  (orcid.= 0000-0003-0569-792X) nato a Messina il 12/06/1972, ha conseguito la laurea in Chimica presso l’Università degli studi di Messina nel 1997, e il dottorato in “Materials for Health, Environment and Energy” presso l’Università di Roma Torvergata il  22/03/2016  ha lavorato come borsista presso l’Istituto di Tecnologie Avanzate per l’Energia (ITAE) “Nicola Giordano” dal 1999 al 2002; come assegnista dal 2002 al 2007 e come ricercatore di ruolo, dal 2008 ad oggi.

Attualmente il Dr. Vita ricopre, presso l’ITAE, il ruolo di Responsabile del Gruppo di Ricerca FPMATEE (Fuel Processing Materials and Technologies for Energetic and Environmental applications) ricopre anche la figura di preposto per i tre laboratori assegnati al Gruppo di Ricerca. Inoltre, Il Dr. Vita,  è anche responsabile del sito web dell’ITAE.

La sua Attività Scientifica riguarda, principalmente, lo sviluppo di materiali e tecnologie per la produzione di idrogeno e syn-gas per applicazioni stazionarie e mobili. In particolare l’Attività di Ricerca del Dr. Vita è indirizzata al design e alla caratterizzazione di catalizzatori in forma di pellets e strutturati (monoliti, foams) per processi di metanazione (CO2 o syngas) e per processi di reforming (Steam Reforming, Ossidazione Parziale, Reforming Autotermico, Oxy-Steam and Tri-reforming) di combustibili fossili (Gas Naturale, GPL, Diesel) e rinnovabili (Bio-Gas, Bio-Etanolo). Altre Attività di Ricerca riguardano lo sviluppo di sistemi catalitici per l’abbattimento del CO (PROX) e di materiali solidi porosi per la purificazione di gas (separazione di CO2 e H2S dal biogas). Parallelamente allo sviluppo di materiali, l’Attività Scientifica del Dr. Vita è anche indirizzata verso lo sviluppo di processori in piccola scala (1-10kW) per la generazione di idrogeno/syn-gas da combustibili fossili e rinnovabili integrabili con sistemi a celle a combustibile per applicazioni stazionarie e mobili.

Il Dr. Vita è stato ed è attualmente coinvolto in numerosi Progetti di Ricerca (circa 16) su fondi Nazionali e Europei ricoprendo il ruolo di Responsabile Scientifico e/o componente dell’Unità di ricerca dell’ITAE.

Il Dr. Vita è autore e co-autore di 68 publicazioni su riviste Internazionali, più di 100 contributi (lavori, poster, presentazioni orali) per Conferenze Internazionali, più di 50 report tecnici per progetti Nazionali e Internazionali. (h-index: Scopus =25, Google Scholar = 28)
