The Hydrogen Hub implemented at the Municipality of Capo d’Orlando was created with a view to initiating a gradual energy transition that aims toward a wider diffusion of hydrogen within the Sicilian and national energy chain. This makes it possible to kick-start a land development opportunity that acts locally and projects innovation in different sectors (civil, transportation, buildings, tertiary) aiming at the establishment of energy communities and hydrogen valley. For emerging technologies such as green hydrogen, this site represents an ecosystem capable of developing new processes and creating specific skills that can be incorporated into existing and new industrial realities.
