This year again, the list includes <strong>ten researchers who work or have worked at CNR-ITAE &#8220;Nicola Giordano&#8221; in Messina<\/strong>: eight in the career-long ranking and seven in the 2025 single-year ranking.<\/p><p>The ranking is based on Scopus bibliometric data, provided by Elsevier through the ICSR Lab. It sorts researchers into 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields using the Science-Metrix classification. It ranks them with a composite indicator, the <em>c-score<\/em>, which combines citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted h-index and citations to papers as single, first or last author. The c-score is calculated with and without self-citations.<\/p><p>There are two rankings: one on career-long impact, with citations up to the end of 2025, and one on impact in 2025 alone.<\/p><p><strong>Career-long ranking \u2013 8 researchers<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Antonino Salvatore Aric\u00f2<\/li><li>Vincenzo Baglio<\/li><li>Pietro Staiti<\/li><li>Francesco Frusteri<\/li><li>Salvatore Gianluca Leonardi<\/li><li>Vincenzo Antonucci<\/li><li>Salvatore Freni<\/li><li>Antonio Vita<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Single-year ranking (2025 impact) \u2013 7 researchers<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Antonino Salvatore Aric\u00f2<\/li><li>Salvatore Gianluca Leonardi<\/li><li>Antonio Vita<\/li><li>Vincenzo Baglio<\/li><li>Andrea Frazzica<\/li><li>Stefania Siracusano<\/li><li>Francesco Frusteri<\/li><\/ul><p>CNR-ITAE carries out research on key technologies for the energy transition: hydrogen production, storage and use, electrolysers and fuel cells, catalysis for energy, thermal energy storage and renewable energy integration.
