RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

Dr. Susanna Maisano’s research activities, carried out through a cross-disciplinary approach, focus on the concept of a circular economy within various sectors of the thematic area, with applications in the field of energy. These include hydrogen production, synthesis gas, and biofuels; thermochemical conversion technologies of biomass, such as gasification and pyrolysis; development of materials for storage and pollutant abatement; and chemical-physical characterization of materials.
Dr. Maisano is responsible for both the management and utilization of the following equipment: elemental CHNS-O analyzer from 2020 to the present; TEM (Transmission Electron Microscope) from 2018 to 2020
