WORK EXPERIENCE

  • From 1991 to 2000, Regional Centre for Cooperation Intervention, ONLUS, recognised by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Union, based in Reggio Calabria.
  • From 2001 to January 2009, he held three employment contracts under the Coordinated and Continuous Cooperation scheme at the CNR ITAE, where he carried out support activities for research and technology transfer.
  • From February 2009 to October 2012, Head of the Assistance and support services for the design, the transfer of technology and the acquisition of funding.
  • From 31 December 2012, permanent position as technologist at CNR ITAE.
  • From 25 October 2012 to 31 December 2020, Head of the Research and Technology Transfer Support Office at CNR ITAE.
  • From the 1st Jannuary 2019 to date, Head of the research group for the Evaluation of the Socio-Economic Impacts of Environmental and Energy Technologies – VISTE.

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES The research activities focus on topics concerning:

  • the economics of energy (economic-financial analysis of investments in innovative energy technologies; LCC; business model analysis);
  • the sociology of energy (study of socio-technical systems concerning energy transition; social and individual acceptance of new energy technologies; co-creation and co-design processes)
  • the diffusion of innovation (actor network analysis).

Responsible for the Energy Power Cluster – EPC project, funded by the Ministry of Economic Development. Scientific responsible for the CNR in the European project H2020 New clean energy communities in a changing European energy system – NEWCOMERS
Scientific responsible for social research activities in the HYSTORE project, Horizon EUROPE programme, to analyse the enabling or hindering factors contributing to the possible deployment of new thermal storage systems. Scientific responsible for CNR ITAE for the “Task 4.5.5: Business modelling and financing/investments procedures for hydrogen technologies widespread” in the extended partnership project PE0000021 “NEST – Network 4 Energy Sustainable Transition” – Spoke 4 (MUR)
