WORK EXPERIENCES
- From 30-07-2020-today: CNR Level III Researcher (permanent position) National Council of Research-Institute of Advanced Tecnologies for Energy (CNR-ITAE Messina).
The research activity is focused on the development of innovative stack components and innovative electrode materials to be used in electrochemical storage systems such as redox flow batteries and sodium-based batteries to support renewable energy sources.
- From 04-11-2019 to 29-07-2020: CNR Level III Researcher (temporary position) Council of Research-Institute of Advanced Tecnologies for Energy (CNR-ITAE Messina).
The research activity is focused on the development of advanced electrode materials for electrochemical storage systems such as vanadium flow redox batteries, sodium-based batteries and lead-acid batteries to be used in the stationary and automotive sectors.
- From 15-01-2014 to 03-11-2019: CNR Junior Researcher (temporary position) Council of Research-Institute of Advanced Tecnologies for Energy (CNR-ITAE Messina).
The research activity is focused on the development of innovative electrode materials to be used in electrochemical storage systems such as vanadium flow redox batteries and in alkaline electrolysis and PEM electrolysis cells.
- From 01-01-2009 to 31-12-2013: University Junior Researcher (temporary position) University of Reggio Calabria.
Development of catalytic materials for the production of hydrogen from natural fuels (natural gas, biogas, alcohols) and for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). RESEARCH ACTIVITY
- Development of composite materials for electrochemical cells components (electrodes, membranes, etc.) in energy storage sector such as “redox flow” and “Na-based” batteries.
- Execution of electrochemical characterization tests in half-cells and small-sized cells up to the prototyping of cell stacks.
- Main results: 27 ISI articles, 1 patent, 3 prototypes.
