RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

  • Production and electrochemical testing of active materials for anode and cathode compartments of sodium batteries. The activity concerns the following types of batteries:
    • ZEBRA Batteries with low nickel content, using NASICON as solid electrolyte;
    • – “Self-standing” Sodium-ion Batteries produced by electrospinning characterized by carbon fibers supporting different active species;
    • Sodium-air Batteries with cathode containing structured carbon materials and different non-aqueous electrolytes.
  • Development of composite solid electrolytes for low-temperature sodium batteries.
  • Design and manufacturing of “lab scale” cells for ZEBRA batteries and low-temperature metal halide batteries.
  • Publications: 27 articles in international journals, 1 book chapter.

Bibliometric Data (Scopus 19/10/2023): h-index: 17; 779 citations for 28 documents.
