EDUCATION: Mater’s degree in Chemical Science LM-54 Università degli studi di Perugia

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • from 15/01/2024 until now Research fellow at the “Nicola Giordano” Institute of Advanced Energy Technologies (CNR-ITAE) of Messina (ME), for the topic: “Energy conversion systems”. Research area: green hydrogen production.
  • from 01/09/2023 to 31/12/2023 Research fellow at the Institute of Atmospheric Pollution of the National Research Council (CNR-IIA) of Montelibretti (RM), for the topic: “Experimental laboratory activity aimed at testing and developing sensors and sensory systems for measurement of micro/nano particulates and gases”.
  • from 01/09/2022 to 31/08/2023 Research fellow at the Institute of Atmospheric Pollution of the National Research Council (CNR-IIA) of Montelibretti (RM), for the topic: “Laboratory testing and calibration of a system based on chemical/physical sensors for the monitoring of polluting compounds through different measurement techniques”

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES: synthesis and characterization of catalysts, preparation of electrodes and chemical-physical and electrochemical characterization of components for the electrolysis of water (AEM and PEM). Skills on the main solid state characterization techniques in order to correlate the chemical-physical properties of membranes and catalysts with their electrochemical behavior. The chemical-physical techniques used are: Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray Diffractometry (XRD) and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS). The skills in the electrochemical field concern characterization methodologies such as: polarization, complex impedance spectroscopy, chronoamperometry and potentiometry.
