RESEARCH AREA: Development and testing of technologies for thermal energy conversion, Modelling of smart energy systems

WORKING EXPERIENCE:

  • 20 to January 2024, PhD researcher in Energy Science and Engineering from the University of Naples “Parthenope” Naples, Italy. The research activities were focused on the design and modeling of biomass-based polygeneration systems.
  • From March 2023 to August 2023, visiting PhD researcher at the faculty of energy and fuels, the AGH University of Science and Technology Krakow, Poland. Actively participated in research works on the design and modeling of Polish case study district heating and cooling networks and feasibility analysis of renewable energy-based hydrogen production system.
  • From September 2017 to October 2020, Master of Science in Thermal Energy Engineering from the National University of Science and Technology Islamabad, Pakistan. The research activities were focused on the design, modeling, and optimization of a solar absorption cooling system for cold storage in Pakistan
  • From July 2018 to August 2018, Internee mechanical engineer at the Attock Gen Limited (Thermal power plant) in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He was a part of the mechanical engineering department support group and provided assistance in operation and maintenance.
  • From June 2016 to July 2016, Internee HVAC Engineer at the Greaves Air-Conditioning Limited Peshawar, Pakistan. He was a part of the team that worked on the installation of a new HVAC system.

RESEARCH ACTIVITY:

  • Buildings integrated energy systems primarily for heating and cooling applications.
  • Industrial waste heat recovery for process heating and cooling using thermal energy conversion technologies
  • Solar-assisted smart energy systems modeling and optimization.
  • Technology development for thermal energy conversion systems using numerical and experimental campaigns.
