RESEARCH ACTIVITIES:
The professional profile acquired in European and National projects mainly concerns research on materials and components for electrochemical devices such as PEM and AEM electrolysers.
The skills acquired concern methodologies of synthesis and characterization of membranes, preparation and characterization of catalysts, preparation of electrodes and chemical-physical and electrochemical characterization of the various components.
The professional profile is also broadened by the skills acquired on the main solid state characterization techniques. They were used in order to correlate the chemical-physical properties of the membranes and catalysts with their electrochemical behavior. The techniques used are mainly Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray Diffractometry (XRD), X-ray Spectrophotometry (XRF) and Temperature Programmed Reduction (TPR).
In the electrochemical field, the characterization methodologies on which the candidate has acquired skills concern polarization techniques, complex impedance spectroscopy, chronoamperometry and potentiometry.
