Within H2020 Hybuild project, Innovative compact hybrid storage systems for low energy buildings, CNR ITAE is taking part in the fourth Consortium Meeting, currently on-going at National Technical University of Athens, presenting the work done on core components developments (adsorption module, thermal storage, eletric storage) as WP2 leader.
HYBUILD aims at developing cost-effective and environmental-friendly solutions, while ensuring comfort conditions in residential buildings located in two different climates: Mediterranean climate where cooling is critical; and Continental climate where a stronger focus is put on heating demand. To do so, an hybrid thermal-electric storage is being developed, in order to drive a reversible heat pump/chiller with the highest share of solar energy possible.
